A bed is the longest-lived piece of furniture most people own — choosing well pays back every night for a decade or more. At KHASHB Furnishers, our beds are built from solid sheesham (rosewood) hardwood, joined with strong mortise-and-tenon joinery, and finished by hand in our Lahore workshop. Single (3.5×6.5 ft) suits children and guest rooms; Queen (5×6.5 ft) is the most popular adult size; King (6×6.5 ft) and Super-King (6.5×7 ft) are best for master bedrooms with at least 12×14 ft of floor space. Measure the room first — leave at least 24 inches around two sides of the bed for movement.
Solid sheesham frames last generations and resist humidity better than MDF — they are our default. Upholstered headboards (velvet, leather, fabric) bring softness and a contemporary look but need care in humid rooms. MDF is lighter and cheaper but cannot match solid wood for longevity.
Hydraulic-lift storage beds add a hidden 12–15 cubic feet of space — invaluable in apartments and smaller rooms. Drawer-storage beds offer faster access. Plain platform beds look cleaner and air the mattress better. Decide based on closet space and how often you swap bedding.
A high tufted headboard makes a small room feel grand; a low panelled headboard suits modern, minimalist rooms; a fluted or carved sheesham headboard reads traditional-luxe. Pick last — once you have the size and storage right.
